About us
TLcom Capital LLP is a London-based venture capital firm investing since 1999 in Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) companies across Europe and Israel. TLcom currently manages total commitments of approximately €200 million in these sectors via a series of dedicated investment vehicles, including the TLcom I and TLcom II funds, other technology portfolios acquired on the secondary market, and a seed fund targeting profitable, affordable technology solutions addressing bottom of the pyramid (BOP) segments in low income, high growth developing markets.
Our investment strategy is to identify, back and assist high quality entrepreneurs and management teams with disruptive technologies and business models, compelling intellectual property and deep market knowledge.
We primarily target companies in the following industry segments: mobile; digital media; internet protocol (IP) technologies and services; broadband based network architecture and service platforms; semiconductors and materials; and web based applications, services and technologies.
Investments will be directed at revenue-stage companies as well as demonstrated business models in early stage companies, as TLcom will consider investments across all stages of company development. We are looking for companies that have the potential to disrupt large existing markets or to be category leaders in emerging markets.
Within these segments, in line with our high growth focus, we are increasingly targeting impact entrepreneurs pursuing high growth profitable opportunities related to the evolution of spending patterns and demand for tech related products and services in BOP segments. Depending on the nature, stage and geography of such opportunities, TLcom participates to this space with sizeable investments completed via existing vehicles (eg, Movirtu and Runcom via TLcom II), and a dedicated seed fund.
TLcom is also active in secondary venture capital investments and provides highly flexible customized solutions to optimise the value of single asset or entire portfolios of ICT companies.
